About

I design intelligent systems at the intersection of AI, data and real-world operations. The thread through everything I have done is the same: find where a workflow breaks under volume or ambiguity, and build the system — spatial, analytical or AI — that makes the decision reproducible.

Background

I trained as an architect, then in building science at Columbia on the spatial intelligence and interaction track. Architecture teaches one habit above all: take an under-specified brief, find the constraints that actually bind, and design something that holds under them. The medium changed — physical space, then data, then software systems — but I have been working on the same problem the whole way: space, relationships, constraints and behaviour inside complex systems.

Two jobs turned that into what I build now. Inside a garment manufacturer I ran product development and overseas business, watched a planning team lose hours every week to manual follow-up across more than a dozen departments, and wrote the order-tracking tool that fixed it. At a consulting firm I turned hundreds of thousands of public records into a framework growth teams could use to decide where to go next — and automated the research behind it with Python and language models.

The quoting system was the natural next step: a workflow I knew from the inside, documents I had read for years, and a problem — unstructured inputs that have to become exactly-right numbers — that is a near-perfect test of how to build with models responsibly.

How I work with AI

Most of the code in my recent systems was written by AI coding agents under my direction. The architecture, the acceptance criteria and the quality gates are mine; so is the responsibility when something is wrong. I treat that division the same way I treat it inside the products: decide what may be generated, what must be verified, and what a person has to own.

Observation

Watch a workflow until the real constraint shows itself. The reminder tool came from a morning on a factory floor; the quoting system from years of reading tech packs.

Abstraction

Name the mechanism. Deadline follow-up is a threshold in a distance field; a quote is uncertainty converging under company rules.

Modelling

Make the data structure carry the meaning — a derived dimension with its candidates, a fabric field with its part and source — instead of patching symptoms downstream.

Interaction

Show the reasoning, not just the answer. Candidates stay visible; pending items look pending; a person can overrule and be recorded.

Implementation

Deterministic where it can be, probabilistic where it must be, human where it should be; the boundary written down.

Validation

Define the metric so it tells you what to fix; measure on real cases; keep a trace either way.

Design as a form of reasoning — the same chain, project after project.

What I build

AI systemsLLM orchestration, agentic workflows, context engineering
Systems where a model reads, proposes and matches, and the surrounding structure turns that into something a business can sign. Proof: AI Quote Copilot and its independent review agent.
Reliable engineeringrule engines, deterministic computation, evaluation, traceability
The parts that must be recomputable and auditable, plus the metric that tells you what to fix. Proof: the costing rules, error taxonomy and regression suite behind the flagship; the reminder pipeline.
Data intelligencegeospatial analytics, pipelines, decision support
Public and operational data joined, scored and explained for a decision. Proof: the site-selection framework.
Product engineeringhuman-in-the-loop, workflow design, systems thinking
End-to-end products with the boundary between automation and judgment designed in. Proof: Career OS, the geometry explorer, the digital twin, this site.

Industries I know from the inside: manufacturing, supply chain, apparel and textiles, cross-border commerce, B2B software. Roles that fit: applied AI product, AI solutions, technical product — anywhere the work is the boundary between model, rules and people. Also open to project collaboration on quoting, costing and document-heavy operations.
